Outsidepride Achillea Sibirica Pink Love Parade Yarrow Seeds for Planting

This pink flowering yarrow, often referred to as Siberian Yarrow, is a native of Siberia and an upright, tufted, perennial plant that typically grows 12 to 24 inches tall. Small flowers around 1/2 inch in diameter bloom in summer in dense clusters atop the stems, featuring dull white disk flowers surrounded by white rays. Yarrow grows well in sunny, hot, and dry locations, and can be planted in mass, along flower beds, or used as a border plant in the cottage garden.

Easily grown in average, dry to medium moisture, well-drained sandy loams in full sun, yarrow plants thrive in average to lean garden soils and tolerate poor soils as long as the drainage is good. However, they should be avoided in heavy clay soils and moist, rich, fertile soils. Yarrow plants can tolerate hot, humid summers and drought, but should be planted in areas that are protected from strong winds.

To encourage additional blooming, deadhead spent flowers, and cut the plants back to the basal leaves after flowering to tidy the planting and promote possible late-season blooming. Divide the clumps every 3 to 4 years when they become overcrowded.

For sowing, use 6 to 7 seeds per plant or approximately 1000 seeds to cover 75 square feet. After the danger of frost has passed, directly sow the yarrow seeds outdoors in prepared soil, pressing them into the surface. Thin the yarrow seedlings to 16 inches apart.
